This event, called “Beers & Boulders” is just that, and an excuse for us to get together with friends and catch up with people we met in the Rockaways while helping with Sandy Relief. It’s also our way to show appreciation for Team Rubicon, who will also be there and make sure we don't forget about the people who need help.
DramaFever, a NYC-based startup and TR partner, is donating the FREE beer, food and drinks and BKB is throwing in free day passes, which definitely won’t last too long, so get there early.

It’s all going down at Brooklyn Boulders, a popular 22,000 sq ft rock-climbing facility, which lent their warehouse and resources to TR. They generously donated the event space and helped us figure everything out. Be a fan. We are. Please note: You won't be able to redeem the pass if you take even a sip of beer, and we will know. DramaFever passes expire 3/31. BKB Passes never expire.

ABOUT DRAMAFEVER-TEAM RUBICON “BEERS & BOULDERS”
The event is the last element in the DramaFever-Team Rubicon Sandy Relief initiative called "Operation: Winter Break," in which DramaFever raised $3,000 in profits from our holiday gift promotion and about $1K more by word-of-mouth. The program was featured in a segment on WCBS "Live From the Couch" on the official launch Thanksgiving Day and in The Washington Square News.
TEAM RUBICON is a volunteer force of approximately 5,000 military veterans who were among the very first to help people hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. Even before damage occurred, Team Rubicon was on the ground, operating in neighborhoods that stood in harm’s way, ready to provide rescue and provide immediate aid to victims. Weeks later, the battle continues, as snow and freezing temperatures pose additional threats. Originally, created in response to the earthquake which devastated Haiti, TR uses a combination of military and entrepreneurial technology to quickly assemble 100% volunteer forces, who are experienced veterans and rescue workers into teams providing life-saving medical care, restoring basic living conditions, and helping people rebuild their lives.
